Shimano's Torium A series reels have been designed to create a compact, rigid and powerful salt water overhead reel with excellent castability and the durability expected by saltwater anglers.
Features include: • Compact design using S-Compact body. Power, rigidity, durability. A key element to the new Torium reels, the S-Concept Body feature results in a reel that feels one size smaller in your hand, plus offers durability. The B side sideplate (A side has the handle, drag adjustment and cast control knob) is all one piece, contributing to both rigidity and in-the-hand palming comfort.

HAGANE Body means this reel has a high rigidity and zero twist. The body stiffness and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the anglers actions directly into cranking power. It's efficiency through strength. |

These bearings have been through the same process as our A-RB bearings, but feature shields on both sides of the bearings that reduce the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting the bearings rotation. |

The Super Free bearing-supported pinion gear system (SF) was designed to eliminate friction on the spool shaft during the cast.
